Community Cafe
The cafe is run entirely by volunteers and takes place on the first Tuesday of each month between 10am and 12 noon. Fresh coffee and tea and cakes/biscuits are available. It’s a great opportunity to meet with friends and neighbours in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Organised by Jan Whitehead
Ogbourne St Andrew History Group
We are a group dedicated to the local history of the parish, having collected a large number of photographs and stories. In addition we have carried out excavations next to the church, revealing a long-lost medieval farm complex and used modern techniques to investigate the interior of the early Bronze Age barrow in its churchyard.
We support local events with displays of photographs and information and have a presence at the monthly Community Café. Meetings are held on an ad-hoc basis when new information or projects are completed. A comprehensive web site with many external links provides a useful local resource. Anyone interested in becoming involved please contact us via the website: www.osahg.org.uk. Organised by Bruce Fox
Maintenance Group
Maintaining an old building like The Silks is an ongoing commitment and we are fortunate to have a small but dedicated band of volunteers who mend, refresh and upgrade. The two herb troughs we now have are being well used by the kitchen and a great addition this year. We’d love to hear from you if you feel you could help keep the outside so welcoming.
